Ride hailing

Introduction
Ebocab is a ride-hailing platform designed to improve transportation within Ebonyi State, providing a reliable way for riders to connect with drivers through a simple and accessible digital experience. The platform supports a complete ecosystem consisting of a customer app, driver app, and admin dashboard to manage daily operations.
As the product designer, I designed the customer experience, driver interface, and administrative dashboard, ensuring a cohesive system that meets the needs of riders, drivers, and platform operators.



Challenge
Transportation systems in smaller cities often lack structured digital solutions, leading to inconsistent pricing, unreliable ride access, and poor operational coordination.
Key challenges included:
Designing a ride-hailing experience adapted to local transportation behavior
Creating simple booking flows for users with varying levels of digital familiarity
Providing drivers with clear trip and earnings management tools
Enabling administrators to monitor and manage platform activity efficiently
Maintaining consistency across multiple user roles and devices
The product needed to feel familiar, lightweight, and easy to adopt within a developing mobility ecosystem.



Research & Insight
I explored how people currently access transportation within Ebonyi State and reviewed user expectations shaped by larger ride-hailing platforms.
Key insights:
Riders prioritize speed and simplicity over feature-heavy interfaces.
Many users rely primarily on mobile devices with limited data connectivity.
Drivers require straightforward workflows with minimal distractions.
Clear ride status updates increase trust and reliability.
Admin teams need centralized visibility to manage operations effectively.
These insights guided a design approach focused on clarity, accessibility, and efficiency.
